Travis is a State of Florida Certified General Contractor and has 20 years of construction experience in Central Florida. Travis’ background includes projects for public and private clients in various market segments including K-12, Higher Education, Municipal, Entertainment, Manufacturing, Office, Hospitality, Religious, Condominium and Residential.

As President of BASE Construction, Travis oversees all aspects of the construction business while remaining intimately involved with the needs of our clients and our subcontractors.  His hands-on approach ensures that customer satisfaction, quality, and safety are always the companies top priorities.

Travis is a Graduate of the M.E. Rinker School of Building Construction at the University of Florida and has established himself as a trusted leader in the Central Florida construction market throughout his entire career.

Shawn Willerer

Vice President, Preconstruction

Shawn is a graduate of the University of Florida’s M.E. Rinker School of Building Construction.  With over 10 years of construction experience in both the public and private markets, he has managed a wide variety of projects, including office, warehouse/distribution, cold storage, higher education, K-12, and municipal government throughout the southeast.

As Vice President of Preconstruction, Shawn works diligently with our clients to establish budgets, assist with design, and manage the bidding phase.  Additionally, he provides oversight of day to day operations, ensuring the company focus on client satisfaction, quality, and safety is always maintained.

Through his dedication to assessing and meeting client’s needs along with a commitment to building lasting relationships, he has quickly built a positive reputation amongst both clients and subcontractors.

Jim Tufford

Operations Manager

Jim has been active in the Central Florida construction industry for over 35 years.   He is a State of Florida Certified General Contractor with vast experience in the public and private markets.  He has successfully managed and delivered projects for Tenant Improvements, Office, K-12, Municipal, Warehouse, Retail, and Hospitality customers.

As Operations Manager of BASE Construction, Jim manages and oversees all day to day construction operations.  He is responsible for leading and coordinating BASE’s field personnel and ensuring our projects are delivered successfully to our customers.

Jim is a Graduate of Rollins College and has been working in the Central Florida construction market since 1983.
